Safe Drinking Water at Alamparai Middle School
There are many water-borne diseases in India that show a high prevalence, including cholera, diarrhoea, enteric fever and viral hepatitis. As many visitors are advised, some of these can be avoided by drinking uncontaminated water. TEWFI, in conjunction with Pitchandikulam Bio Resource Centre – Auroville, would like to provide safe drinking water to the children at the Alamparai Middle School, in addition to the basic provisions already provided. A pilot study has included investing in a rainwater harvesting project at Uluru Children’s Home, as part of its self-sufficiency programme.
If you would like to donate to this project, or would like to lend your expertise to the implementation of this project, please contact TEWFI.
