TEWFI has been organizing following activities at Uluru Coastal Environment Education Centre.
Workshop for the Staff: A workshop was organized for the Environment Education Teacher from Pitchadikulam Bio Resource Center and the Staff at TEWFI at the Uluru Coastal Environment Education Center. Summer Camp for the Community and UCH children: TEWFI organized summer camp for the community children on 18.05.2010 & 19.05.2010. More than 60 children participated in the camp. The importance of safeguarding the Environment was the main theme of the camp. Activities such as painting, collecting leaves, bird watching, group discussions, etc were organized in order to impart them the knowledge on Environment. This programme was organized with the help of our Environment Education teachers and the Volunteers.
Workshops for the Children on Environment Awareness: Every week this workshop is being organized at Uluru Coastal Environment Education Center. Children from different communities are invited to participate in the workshops. In each workshop around 30 children participate. Environment issues such as Global Warming, Ozone depletion are being discussed with the children. The children are also taught about the Marine species and safe guarding the marine species.
