About our Mission

The East West Foundation of India aims to empower disadvantaged communities in India. It does this by:

  1. Developing rural communities in need by bringing together resources, skills and expertise from around the world
  2. Understanding and promoting the needs of developing countries like India
  3. Collaborating with other indigenous organizations that aid the underprivileged

The East West Foundation of India is committed to developing the small, remote farming and fishing village communities of Alamparai and Kadapakkam, south of Mahabalipuram, in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.  There are four areas in which TEWFI has concentrated its efforts:

  1. Health care. 2. Education 3. Child rights and relief 4. Community development
