What can I do?
Donations are the lifeblood of a charitable Foundation. Your donation will greatly assist us to continue our work in India. You can make a general contribution or choose a specific area or project (e.g. sponsoring a PC workstation). Every donation, however big or small, is greatly valued, and every donor is a supporting member of TEWFI.
Here are some examples of how far your donation can go:
- Rs. 5,000 per month to employ a teacher at the local school
- Rs. 3,000 per day to provide for UHCC (e.g. medicines, electricity, etc)
- Rs. 6,000 per month to employ a nurse
- Rs. 6,000 per month to employ child carers
- Rs. 8,000 per day to provide shelter, food, health care and education for the children at UCH (“Ninaivunal”)
- Rs. 8,000 per month to employ a social worker
- Rs. 22,000 per month to employ a full time doctor
As you can see, you CAN make a difference! Donations made to The East West Foundation of India are tax deductible in India, under the Indian Income Tax Act, Section 80G. You will be issued with a receipt.
